Limit employees to current day sales reporting

Is it possible to set a default limit to the historical reports available, especially sales. It's useful for them to have access to the current days report so that they can see where they have went wrong if the card machine and cash in the till don't match up with sales summaries. But I don't really want employees seeing historical data like viewing sales totals for the previous month etc.
